Dad and I had quite a few breakfasts together where we would discuss what he had done in the years when he was just a boy up to the time he was married and what I had done when he was at work, most of which ended with mum saying wait till your dad gets home and when he wasn't at work it usually ended with wait till your mum gets home which always made us laugh when these things were brought up.

I didn't really know his background until our breakfasts started and still only know a little of what his boyhood was like, but what i do know is I shall miss him and mum forever !!!
